Yes, I design clothes for my Perfect World characters.

Yes, I am a nerd.

I'm sorry, but the game's armor for female archers SUCKS. Basically a leather and metal bra, miniskirt, and boots with tall stiletto heels. Entirely appropriate. If you're a hooker.

So here's some armor actually designed with battle in mind. I won't try to fool myself or anyone else by saying that it's 100% practical, but I'd certainly rather wear this than the armor provided by the game.

I'd love it if you would tell me which color scheme you like best!

I like two and six best. :D

Good armor/clothing design! I like the details and it looks (not sure if it really would be, though) practical and comfortable. :)

Fantasy game armor is usually really impractical in every regard. For girls they usually look like battle-strippers and guys are usually loaded down with excess spikes and horns, often times with their midriff exposed. Actually, the only recent example I can recall of a game with somewhat believable armor in a fantasy game is the "Monster Hunter" franchise, but that steps into "form over function" territory from time to time.

Not a bad design, don't be afraid to play around with some shading to give the armor a bit of texture (for example, which parts are shiny metals, which are more matte-finish or textured cloth/leather. For 3D game specularity and bump mapping are an important part of the design.

So, is there a color scheme you like best?

They all tend to have a primarily earthy or orange color scheme. I like a few of them, but each for different reasons. #1 has a good variety of both light and dark values, as well as saturated and desaturated hues. #3 has a good analogous color scheme, which is better for quickly recognizing the character as long as the environment doesn't match. #4 is your strongest color scheme, with complimentary blues and oranges. #6 has a good dark theme going, but it needs some variety in the textures or perhaps a few accents of color to pop the character's features for animation and identification.

Shading? Ha! I laugh in the face of shading! No, seriously, I hate shading. Thanks for the comments, though.
